What we collect when you visit or order, why we collect it, who else sees it, and how to make us change or delete it.
Last updated 10 September 2026
This policy explains what Scaling Ops LLC, trading as Second Moon, collects when you visit trysecondmoon.com or place an order, why we collect it, who else sees it, and what you can ask us to do about it.
The controller of your personal information is Scaling Ops LLC, 30 N Gould St, Sheridan, WY 82801, United States. For any privacy question or request, email info@trysecondmoon.com.
What we collect
- Order and account information — your name, email address, phone number, billing and shipping address, what you ordered, and the confirmation that payment succeeded.
- Payment information — handled by our payment providers. We receive a confirmation and the last digits and card type; we never receive or store your full card number.
- Subscription information — if you subscribe, the plan, the renewal date and the history of deliveries and cancellations.
- Device and usage information — IP address, browser and device type, time zone, referring page and the pages you view, collected by cookies and similar technologies.
- What you send us — the content of emails, contact-form messages and reviews, kept so we can answer and honour them.
- Marketing preferences — whether you subscribed to email, and whether you have unsubscribed.
We do not ask for and do not want health information. If you volunteer it in a message, we use it only to answer you.
Why we use it
To take payment and prevent fraud; to ship your order and tell you where it is; to manage a subscription and its renewals; to answer you and honour the guarantee; to send marketing where you asked for it or where the law otherwise allows it; to measure and improve our advertising and this site; and to meet our tax, accounting and legal obligations.
Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, we rely on: performance of a contract (to take, ship and support your order); legitimate interests (to secure the site, prevent fraud, and understand how our advertising performs); consent (for non-essential cookies and for marketing email, which you may withdraw at any time); and legal obligation (records we are required to keep).
Who we share it with
Only with providers who need it to do a job for us, and only what that job needs:
- Shopify, which hosts this store and runs the checkout.
- Our payment providers, which take and settle the payment.
- Loop Subscriptions, which manages subscriptions and their renewals.
- Our warehouse and the carriers that pick, pack and deliver your parcel.
- Our email provider, for order emails and, where you asked for it, marketing.
- Analytics and advertising providers, including Meta and Google, which receive event and identifier data used to measure and target advertising.
We also disclose information where the law requires it, to enforce our terms, or to a buyer if the business is sold. We do not sell your personal information for money. Sharing data with advertising platforms can count as a "sale" or "sharing" under some US state laws — see Your rights below for how to opt out.
Cookies and tracking
Some cookies are necessary: they keep your cart and your session working. Others measure how the site is used or support advertising. You can refuse or delete cookies in your browser; the necessary ones cannot be turned off without breaking the store. Where a consent banner is shown to you, your choice there governs the non-essential ones. We honour Global Privacy Control signals as an opt-out of sharing for advertising.
International transfers
We operate from the United States and our providers process data in the United States and elsewhere. Where information moves out of the EEA or the UK, it is transferred under the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or another lawful mechanism.
How long we keep it
Order and tax records are kept for as long as accounting and tax law requires, normally seven years. Marketing contact details are kept until you unsubscribe. Support messages are kept for as long as they are useful to answer a follow-up. Analytics data is kept in aggregated or de-identified form.
Your rights
Wherever you live, you may ask us to give you a copy of what we hold, correct it, delete it, or stop using it for marketing. Email info@trysecondmoon.com and we will answer within the time the law allows — one month under the GDPR and UK GDPR, 45 days under California law.
- EU and UK. You also have the right to object to processing, to restrict it, to data portability, and to complain to your supervisory authority (in the UK, the ICO).
- California and other US states. You have the right to know, to delete, to correct, and to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information and of targeted advertising. We will not treat you differently for exercising any of them.
We may need to confirm who you are before acting on a request. An authorised agent may make a request for you with written proof.
Security
Payment pages are encrypted in transit and card data is handled by PCI-compliant providers. No system is perfect; tell us at info@trysecondmoon.com if you think an account has been compromised.
Children
This store is not for anyone under 18 and we do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has given us information, email us and we will delete it.
Changes
We may update this policy. The date at the top tells you when it last changed. Material changes will be notified on this page before they take effect.
